State Rep. Timothy Barr

While there are at least nine Republicans running for the 10th Congressional District seat to replace Republican Representative Jody Hice, one has the endorsement of the out-going Congressman. Hice, who has represented the 10th District since 2015 and is leaving to run for Secretary of State, recently endorsed state Rep. Timothy Barr in the race.

In this endorsement, Hice said, “It’s been the honor of a lifetime to fight for our values in Washington, but the fight is far from over. The Biden Administration is out of control and now more than ever we need patriots who will stand up for our country. This is why Dee Dee and I are proud to endorse Timothy Barr in Georgia’s 10th District. Timothy is a proven fighter who will put America first and be an active member of the Freedom Caucus. We did not take this decision lightly and at the end of the day, it was made as a family with careful consideration and much prayer. The candidate elected will be our Congressman, as well as our children’s and grandchildren’s. We know you can trust Timothy to represent your family because we trust him to represent ours.”

Barr was elected to represent District 103 in the Georgia State House in 2012, representing parts of Gwinnett and Hall County. He says during his time in the House, he “proudly stood up for conservative values by fighting for the Heartbeat Bill, cosponsoring Constitutional Carry, and working to eliminate the state income tax.”

Barr has also pledged to join the House Freedom Caucus, if elected. Hice is a founding member of the House Freedom Caucus which is dedicated to holding elected officials accountable to the Constitution.

If elected, Barr says he will continue being a Pro-Life leader in Congress and will be a defender of the Constitution and Bill of Rights.

“Every right is inalienable, and I won’t back down in the fight to protect those rights constantly under attack by the Biden Administration and the socialists in Washington,” Barr says on his campaign website.

Barr also says he will work to secure the elections, and supports a full forensic audit of the 2020 election.

“In the State House, I was honored to help pass Georgia’s Election Integrity Act (SB 202),” Barr said. “Regardless of what the liberal left wants you to believe, SB 202 makes it easier to vote and harder to cheat in Georgia. In Congress, I will stand against HR1 and ANY federal government attempt to take over our elections.”

Other issues Barr includes on his website are: standing up to the radicals and fighting to end indoctrination in our children’s classrooms; securing the borders, standing with the military; be a steward of tax dollars; stand with Israel and stop the cancel culture.
