Seven Democrat state senators yesterday morning deliberately missed voting on a constitutional amendment banning non-citizen voting. It is already in state law but passing this amendment makes it harder for Democrats to later allow non-citizen voting in local elections as in New York City. One no-show was Sen. Jen Jordan, D-Sandy Springs, who was “excused” yet attended that morning’s municipal association event. Shameful when a lawmaker from either party deliberately doesn’t want to take a stand. Proposed Fulton Co. property tax hike
Fulton County homeowners let out a collective groan Monday following the announcement that property taxes will be increasing by more than 12% over the rollback millage rate.
