A major strike from the Writers’ Guild of America this week has shaken Hollywood – but what about the Hollywood of the South?  Luckily for us most writers are based out of California, while it’s mainly productions that have already been written and greenlit that head to Georgia for filming.  Strikes also tend to immediately shut down live shows such as the Tonight Show, which also aren’t typically filmed here.  That said, if the strike goes on long enough it could slow the stream of tv shows and films being produced, which could lead to less work for the 25,000 industry professionals here in the Peach State.  The uncertainty of the strike has the Georgia film industry DRIFTING…
