Visitors to the The Battery Atlanta, located in Cobb County and the home of the Atlanta Braves stadium, will have opportunities to immerse themselves in virtual experiences that feature state-of-the-art VR technology and virtual experiences in early 2019.

Dubbed, “The Void,” the technology layers a virtual world over physical space – combined with 4-Dimensional multi-sensory effects – “where guests can walk freely untethered and see, touch and interact with the virtual environment.”

Visitors will have opportunities to be transported to other worlds, launching with Star Wars™: Secrets of the Empire, an experience produced by ILMxLAB in collaboration with The VOID, a first-of-its-kind multi-sensory interactive adventure set in a galaxy far, far away. Additional hyper-reality experiences will also be available including Ralph Breaks VR, Ghostbusters: Dimension, a partnership with Sony Pictures Virtual Reality, and The VOID’s original experience Nicodemus: Demon of Evanishment.

Participants will feel the turbulence of the skiff below their feet, withstand the impact of blaster bolts, and smell the smoke as they approach the fiery planet Mustafar.

“The VOID experience centers provide unique immersive adventures that powerfully redefine the future of VR and entertainment,” said Craig Watson, Chairman and CEO of The VOID. “We are thrilled to provide guests with breathtaking experiences where they can become active participants and enjoy the full potential of virtual reality.”

The VOID at The Battery Atlanta officially opens to the public early in 2019 and will be located next to the Coca-Cola Roxy on Battery Avenue. For more information on The VOID, you can visit www.thevoid.com
