Natural Gas marketer Gas South, which bills itself in its marketing as a corporate citizen with the slogan “A fuel for Good,” today presented $50,000 checks to six local charities, including Atlanta Mission, Kate’s Club, Nana Grants, Los Ninoa Primero, Shepherd Center, and Sunshine on a Rainey Day.

The company serves more than 300,000 residential, business and governmental customers in Georgia, Florida, North Carolina and South Carolina – and its contributions, which will primarily improve the lives of children in need in Metro Atlanta – totaled $300,000.

Representatives of the charities were on hand, including Brittany Stewart, Grants Associate for Atlanta Mission; Theresa Prestwood, Executive Director of Kate’s Club; Mary Jane Credeur, Board Chair of Nana Grants; Lindsey Vicente, Major and Planned Gifts Officer, Shepherd Center; and Elizabeth Duncan, Executive Director, Sunshine on a Ranney Day.

“Gas South’s Impact Investments allow us to work side-by-side with local nonprofits to learn how we can make a difference in the lives of children in need in our communities,” said Kevin Greiner, CEO of Gas South. “It’s humbling to see how the funding from Gas South can make an impact not only monetarily but also through volunteerism.”
