The latest in a long series of scandals and questionable decisions from the administration of former Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed was unveiled Monday, as news broke that former First Lady Langford Reed had a 2016 car wreck in a city-owned vehicle swept under the rug. Langford Reed – who has since filed for divorce – was not a city employee nor authorized to driving a city vehicle when she wrecked the Ford Explorer in Midtown Atlanta, causing more than $16,000 in damages. That accident was never disclosed publicly, and observers are none to pleased that taxpayer dollars went to getting the vehicle fixed. State Farm Arena a box office draw
Downtown Atlanta’s State Farm Arena is quite the box office draw. How big? From October to to March, State Farm brought in $76.2 million across 60 events, making it the third-highest grossing venue in the entire nation, behind only New York’s Madison Square Garden and the Sphere in Las Vegas, and fifth globally.
