The University of Georgia’s Small Business Development Center is partnering with the federal Small Business Administration (SBA) to help businesses along the state’s coast to prepare for weather emergencies, (read: hurricanes) and learn how best to recover following a damaging storm. “Having a plan in place before a natural disaster strikes can help businesses reopen sooner,” says Allan Adams, director of the UGA SBDC. A series of free webinars from Aug. 24-27 will be made available business owners via the SBDC regional office in Savannah, and will be put on as part of a partnership with local organizations including the Chatham Emergency Management Agency; Colquitt-Miller County Chamber of Commerce; and Chatham Insurance Partners.
