The COVID Consortium, an Augusta-based company that is a partnership of an array of private laboratories, has opened a concierge coronavirus testing site at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in the downtown of Georgia’s second largest city. “This concierge site expands on our existing Certified COVID Testing Workplace program and serves to not only meet the testing demand and reporting requested by local businesses but also fulfills Holy Trinity’s community outreach program by providing more testing for the uninsured at no cost,” according to its media release.
ACHS Insurance, Colony Bank, Gold Mech, Monterrey and Poblanos Mexican Restaurant are but a few Augusta businesses that have utilized testing services and reporting tools through the Consortium. The mission: Safely keep their doors open and meet vendor requirements.
Georgia still needs far more concierge testing to meet the demand for reliable and timely COVID testing (to include antibody testing) and cases have especially increased in the Augusta area.
