Last weekend it was discovered that Atlanta’s historic Oakland Cemetery property and its veterans’ monuments have again been vandalized. Police sources tell InsiderAdvantage that the perpetrators appear to be the domestic terrorist groups Black Lives Matter and Antifa which are active in Georgia’s capital city.
The Oakland Cemetery is near Georgia’s state Capitol building where these domestic terrorists have been desecrating veterans’ graves and monuments with spray painted slogans ranging from anti-white to anti-police scribblings. This proximity has led to pleas that the state of Georgia should take procession of the Historic Oakland Cemetery from the city of Atlanta, so at least some effort can be made to protect the Confederate and other monuments to fallen veterans.
After previous terrorist acts, the Georgia Division of the Sons of Confederate Veterans approached the Historic Oakland Foundation to help purchase security cameras and solicit monetary donations to protect the cemetery. The Foundation declined, telling them it has the situation “under control.” But it’s clear that Atlanta police have been ordered to basically ignore the continued desecrations.
The Georgia Division of the Sons of Confederate Veterans, in response to these terrorist acts against grave markers and veterans’ monuments, is now offering a $5,000 reward leading to the arrest and conviction of the guilty party.
