Last month city of Lawrenceville officials rolled out the “green carpet,” officially unveiling the new college corridor linking Gwinnett College and downtown Lawrenceville. The goal is to have the corridor, officially called the Collins Hill Extension, serve as an anchor for economic development as well as give the city more of a ‘college town’ feel. Already there are some breweries along the stretch, and more restaurants and mixed-use development are planned. The Lawrenceville Downtown Development Authority is tasked with promoting further development.
