The data from the 2020 U.S. Census is finally here, and for Georgia it is Bryan County, near Savannah, that tops the list for most growth since 2010.  In fact, Bryan was the 6th fastest growing county in the whole country in the past 10 years with a whopping 48 percent population increase, from 30,233 in 2010 to 44,738 in 2020.  A big part of the reason for that growth has been the Port of Savannah and its surrounding industry, which isn’t slowing down anytime soon – the recent sale of a 2,284-acre ‘Mega-Site’ in the county to be used for economic development projects was the largest purchase in Georgia’s history.  The past decade was bright for Bryan, and the next one could be even brighter.
