Last Tuesday the Republican-controlled state House of Representatives’ Legislative & Congressional Reapportionment Committee passed the new House map (HB 1EX).The next day, the map passed out of the full House and last Friday the Senate adopted the map, so it is now on the desk of Gov. Brian Kemp for his signature.

As for the Senate, Republicans drew a new map for Georgia’s 56 Senate districts known as Senate Bill 1EX. It passed the Senate last Tuesday. And the state House passed it yesterday. To find a copy of the Senate map, click HERE.
Georgia’s 14 U.S. Congressional district maps will be adjusted for population shifts this week— and that will be a partisan slugfest since it could impact the power balance in the U.S. House of Representatives. Republicans hope to flip at least two currently Democrat-held Georgia seats back into their party’s control.
