Chatham County officials are at odds over when to put a TSPLOST tax hike on the ballot.  Originally it was supposed to go up for a vote in May during the primary election, but with former U.S. Sen. David Perdue entering the gubernatorial primary, Savannah’s (mostly Democrat) leaders are concerned that may drive out Republican voters and result in a loss for the TSPLOST.  Meanwhile other local leaders say it’s too easy for such a referendum to get lost on a fuller November midterm ballot.  The Chatham Co.
