Business executives from across the nation gathered near Albany this month for the Georgia Chamber’s 33rd annual Georgia Quail Hunt, one of the longest running economic development programs in the U.S.  The event serves as a retreat for top executives to mingle with state economic development officers, as well as an opportunity to showcase Albany-Dougherty County and some of the business opportunities it has to offer.  Industry locations in Dougherty County such as Outdoor Network Distribution and Manufacturing, PowerSports Plus and WebstaurantStore are local projects facilitated through the weekend in past years.  And of course it’s a chance to shoot some quail – Southwest Georgia is renowned for having some of the best land for quail hunting in the country.
