The recently-announced Hyundai Motor Group electric vehicle factory in Bryan County outside Savannah will be one of the largest industrial manufacturing projects in the Southeast, and will also serve as a facilitator for some major infrastructure upgrades.  The sprawling 11 building, 17 million square feet factory will be accompanied by new interchanges on I-16 and widened roads surrounding the 3,000 acre site.  Bryan County will also undergo some major expansions to its water and wastewater systems, needed to service the project.  The $5.54 billion EV factory will serve as the centerpiece to the Bryan County Megasite, which is drawing interest from companies due to its access to the Port of Savannah, shipping lines, and strong workforce.
