James Magazine, InsiderAdvantage Georgia’s sister company, is the only Georgia media outlet that encourages readers to vote online to rank Georgia’s registered lobbyists. A small bipartisan group (including top state legislators) also advises James on the rankings. Many of these lobbyists, of course, are involved in public policy issues that require working with public servants ranging from members of the General Assembly to county and city officials.
The statewide magazine published its “2022 Top Lobbyists” rankings in its Sept.-October 2022 issue and, at a January 19th reception at Atlanta’s No. 18 club, James CEO and Publisher Phil Kent presented awards to the recipients. Veteran lobbyist Helen Sloat with Nelson Mullins was inducted into the magazine’s “Hall of Fame.” And former lobbyist and one-time state legislator Rusty Kidd was posthumously inducted into the “Hall of Fame.”
