The King family members are truly as Atlanta as Atlanta can be. Their roots are deep and those who grew up in earlier decades remember so much about them and what they all achieved.
Dexter could have been a movie star or a political leader. But he chose a quieter life moving to California. News of his death came as a shock to all. Dr. King’s grown children have all carried on his dream with dignity and humility. Just last week they served as honorary team captains for the Tampa Bay Bucs in their playoff game. Martin Luther King, III, a great living legacy of his parents and a loving brother to Dexter, represented the family on the football field.
Sadly, they are one member less today. We are saddened by his passing and offer our condolences and love to his family.
