Thomson Mayor Benjamin Cary Cranford was arrested this week on charges of furnishing prohibited items to inmates and criminal attempt to commit a felony – specifically giving alcohol to an inmate work detail. The City of Atlanta and the Georgia Democratic Party made a strong push to host the 2028 Democratic National Convention, but fell short once again when it was announced that Boston, Denver and Philadelphia are the three finalists.
