Bid awarded for state’s largest ever project

The Georgia Department of Transportation is embarking on the state’s biggest and most expensive project of all time on Ga. 400.  The project will add 16 miles of express lanes stretching from North Springs MARTA Station near Dunwoody all the way up into Forsyth County, as well as add rapid bus service along the route.  Last week a contractor – SR 400 Peach Partners – was selected to build out and operate the whopping $4.6 billion project.  The group is a coalition of engineering, construction and financing companies, and securing the largest bid in state history has their boats RISING…
