The relationship between the Georgia House and Senate runs hot and cold – sometimes they work in perfect unison, other times they square off almost as rivals.  At the close of the 2025 session they were much closer to the latter, as House members seethed when the Senate clocked out at around 9:30pm Friday, leaving some ongoing bills on the House floor with nowhere to go.  “It appears the Senate has checked all their priorities, their political priorities, and decided to end their night.  But this chamber puts policies before politics. … Let’s do our work,” said House Speaker Jon Burns Friday.  There’s still another session in 2026 for bills that didn’t make it this year, but for now the relationship between the House and Senate is DRIFTING…
