Absenteeism rates in Georgia (and across the nation) skyrocketed during COVID, spurring lawmakers to search for solutions to curb the growing issue.  And here’s some good news – the state’s absenteeism rate dropped to 19.5% for the 2024-25 school year, the lowest rate since pre-pandemic.  That rate, however, was 12.1%, so education officials say there is much work to be done.  But positive news has Georgia students and teachers RISING…
