Each year the Cobb Chamber hosts its Economic Development Summit, bringing together state and local officials who are at the center of driving industry in one of the Southeast's fastest-growing regions.  Hosting hundreds of Cobb Chamber members at the Cobb Energy Preforming Arts Center on Wednesday, the event's panelists included a veritable 'who's who' list of Georgia industry leaders.

Pat Wilson, commissioner of the Georgia Department of Economic Development, delivered the keynote speech on Georgia's successes in attracting and retaining businesses.  He pointed to Cobb's success in that area, specifically, most notably in the Cumberland area which includes the Battery and Cobb Galleria.  Over the past five years it's landed such big fish as Papa John's, TK Elevator's North American headquarters, Comcast, and Race Trac.
