U.S. Rep. Mike Collins, R-GA, is urging the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to rescind what he calls “Biden’s lame-duck attack on American boat manufacturers.” Late last week, Collins sent a letter to EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin urging him to reverse an action taken in the final days of the Biden administration that threatens the American recreational boatbuilding industry.

According to Collins, the recreational boating industry contributes more than $230 billion annually to the U.S. economy and supports hundreds of thousands of jobs and tens of thousands of small businesses. He went on to say that 95 percent of boats sold in the United States are made in America.
