Georgia Department of Labor assisting federal employees during shutdown

For those who may have missed it, the federal government has shut down – again. It remains a little unclear just how many employees and departments are shut down and how many federal employees are affected. But for the more than 100,000 federal workers who may not be receiving their next paycheck, it is undoubtedly a big deal. Not to mention the discussion from the White House this week that furloughed employees are not guaranteed their back pay from the forced time off. 

Amidst the chaos from Washington, the Georgia Department of Labor (GDOL) is taking time to remind federal employees that they can use the department to access benefits, services and other guidance during the shutdown.
