Members of Georgia’s Democratic Congressional Delegation are urging Gov. Brian Kemp to take all possible steps to using state funds to ensure that there are no interruptions to the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) as a result of a government shutdown. Rep. Lucy McBath is leading the state’s Democratic members in sending a letter to Kemp, in which they ask him to “publicly commit.” to these actions.

This letter is also signed by Representatives Henry C. “Hank” Johnson, Jr. David Scott, Sanford Bishop and Nikema Williams.
