One of the most ambitious infrastructure projects in Atlanta history took a hit when the Big Beautiful Bill took a chunk out of its funding, but city leaders say the project is “going to happen” regardless. The Stitch would create a cap over the I-75/85 connector that could totally reshape downtown Atlanta. It would be a completely walkable, 14-acre greenspace, connecting two sides of the city that are split by a river of cars. City officials are looking at alternative ways of funding the project – including the creation of special tax districts and renewed lobbying efforts in D.C. to secure more funding. Could Paramount be coming to Georgia?
Paramount Skydance, one of the biggest and most prominent entertainment companies in the world, is furious at its home state of California over a lawsuit filed by the state’s attorney general attempting to stop a merger. In response, Chair David Ellison has threatened to move from Los Angeles to a state not actively suing his company, and Georgia was on the shortlist of possibilities. Gov.
