Calling it a “damn joke,” Fulton County District Attorney Fanil Willis appeared combative and defiant while testifying before the Georgia Senate Special Committee on Investigations Wednesday. So much so that committee vice chair Sen. Greg Dolezal, R- Cumming, turned off her microphone twice because she continued to throw accusations at the senators after answering the question.

The committee was created in early 2024. They subpoenaed Willis twice before she finally appeared before the committee that was examining her prosecution of President Donald Trump. The special committee was tasked with looking into allegations of "various forms of misconduct" against Willis concerning her prosecution of Mr. Trump and others over efforts to overturn Trump's 2020 election loss in Georgia.
