When a big time out-of-town restaurant chain comes to Metro Atlanta it always draws a crowd, thanks to its reputation as a transplant city.  That’s certainly been the case in Kennesaw, where a Chicago-based hot dog chain has lines wrapping around the block.  Portillo’s recently opened its first Georgia location in this Cobb Co. city, to the delight of former Chicago residents and general hot dog fans alike.  If you’ve never tried a Chicago-style dog, beware, it’s a little busy; featuring yellow mustard, chopped white onions, bright green sweet pickle relish, tomato slices/wedges, a dill pickle spear and pickled sport peppers, with ketchup being strictly forbidden.  Also on the menu is classic Midwestern street fare like Italian beef, burgers, and even pasta.  So for a true taste of Chicago why go anywhere else but Kennesaw, Georgia?
