Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis remains angry over her embarrassing removal from prosecuting the failed “election racketeering” case against President Donald Trump and his Georgia allies. So she seeks some revenge in the May 19th judicial primaries. Willis is supporting liberal candidates against Fulton County Superior Court Judge Craig Schwall and two other incumbents. The DA also has puppets running against state Supreme Court Justice Sarah Warren and Charlie Bethel (who voted to remove her). Atlanta Beltline light rail back on the menu?
Many Atlantans were dismayed when Mayor Andre Dickens seemingly tabled the idea of light rail along the Atlanta Beltline, the city’s wildly popular and successful pedestrian path. After all, light rail was a core part of the loop’s original vision, meant to connect the city all around its (eventual) 22-mile loop. But now the Atlanta City Council is pushing back, with 11 councilmembers, led by Atlanta City Councilwoman Kelsea Bond signing onto a resolution signaling support for the idea.
