Georgia lawmakers are one step closer to passing the Fiscal Year 2027 budget. The Senate Appropriations Committee began the day Wednesday by approving its version of the budget that starts in July with bi-partisan, unanimous support.

“I want to thank Chairman Blake Tillery, the subcommittee Chairs, and all members of the Senate Appropriations Committee for their hard work,” said Lt. Governor Burt Jones.
