The 2026 session of the Georgia General Assembly resulted in the creation of seven House Blue-Ribbon Study Committees, as announced late last week by Speaker Jon Burns, R-Newington. The committees will work throughout the off-session to gather the facts and hear from citizens, experts and stakeholders on key policy areas impacting Georgia in preparation for next year’s legislative session.

“The Georgia House has been and will continue to be laser-focused on delivering results on the issues that matter most to our fellow Georgians,” said Burns. “The creation of the 2026 House Blue-Ribbon Study Committees reflects our ongoing commitment to pursuing common-sense policy solutions to the challenges and opportunities that will shape Georgia’s future success.”
