A mysterious political action committee has spent millions of dollars to attack Lt. Gov. Burt Jones, who’s running for governor. The state ethics commission investigated, and there’s a new development. Commission Executive Director David Emadi says: “Following public hearings where the (ethics) commission voted to find probable cause that Georgians for Integrity violated multiple state laws, we are continuing to investigate the organization to determine who is ultimately responsible for funding the illegal spends. Atlanta Beltline light rail back on the menu?
Many Atlantans were dismayed when Mayor Andre Dickens seemingly tabled the idea of light rail along the Atlanta Beltline, the city’s wildly popular and successful pedestrian path. After all, light rail was a core part of the loop’s original vision, meant to connect the city all around its (eventual) 22-mile loop.
