Georgia’s Pre-K Program has positioned the state for recognition as a national leader in early childhood education, according to Governor Brian Kemp. Georgia Pre-K is the largest program in the nation to meet all 10 benchmarks, and the first universal program to do so.  

According to Kemp, this comes as a result of strategic planning and “visionary policymakers who have made early childhood education a top priority.” The quality benchmarks are established by the National Institute for Early Education Research (NIEER),
