Times Journal Media Group, parent company of the Marietta Daily Journal and other northwest Georgia and metro Atlanta newspapers, has acquired three additional Georgia newspapers: The Walton Tribune (Monroe), The Covington News (Newton County) and The Oconee Enterprise (Watkinsville). All three publish weekly or biweekly and operate corresponding news websites. Times Journal Media Group owner Otis Brumby III and Patrick Graham, owner and publisher of the acquired newspapers, announced the acquisition.
