When movie lovers and filmmakers gather later this month for the 21st annual Macon Film Festival, they’ll be doing more than just watching movies.  It’s an important industry networking event, and one where Macon economic development officials get to showcase their city as a potential location for future filming.  This year, Macon was visited by two major productions, “The Comeback King” and the second Superman movie, “Man of Tomorrow.”  And when location managers and scouts come to town for the film festival, city officials are hoping that historic downtown (or other parts of the city) catches their eye as a convenient, inexpensive setting for future films or TV shows.
