Many Atlantans were dismayed when Mayor Andre Dickens seemingly tabled the idea of light rail along the Atlanta Beltline, the city’s wildly popular and successful pedestrian path. Norwood endorses Jackson
Atlanta City Councilwoman Mary Norwood has given her endorsement to Republican candidate for governor Rick Jackson, a move that’s not necessarily surprising, but is notable. Norwood lost a runoff for Atlanta mayor to Keisha Lance Bottoms back in 2017 by only 800 votes, showing her popularity in Atlanta, particularly up in Buckhead where there’s a large swathe of GOP and independent voters.
