David Dillie, a Democrat running for election in the Savannah-area House District 161, has been found to have double voted in this year’s primary elections. He voted once here in Georgia in the Democratic primary, and again in Nevada, where he used to live, via absentee ballot in the Republican primary. Georgia lawmakers back the Braves
As the Atlanta Braves continue their playoff battle with the LA Dodgers, a group of Georgia lawmakers are backing them in a battle of their own. U.S. Reps. Brian Jack and Lucy McBath, along with U.S. Sen. Raphael Warnock, have introduced legislation to extend a provision in the 2021 American Rescue Plan that would allow publicly traded organizations – like the Braves – to treat some of their high-salaried players like executives as a normal business would.
