The former president is looking ahead to wife Hillary’s likely bid for the White House. Already he’s starting to distance himself, the missus, and a sure-to-grow faction of the Democratic Party from Obamacare and President Obama. That’s exactly what Carter and Nunn are going to have to do too, if they plan on being more than historical footnotes in 2014. Even now Clinton may unwittingly be doing their advance work. Questions linger over Atlanta City Hall investigation
An ongoing investigation into former Atlanta Municipal Clerk Foris Webb III is hitting roadblocks, as city employees are delaying or rejecting interviews by the inspector general. Webb received more than $900,000 in consulting fees from the city for his “work” on a referendum meant to block the city’s law enforcement training center, dubbed “Cop City.” That referendum got held up in court, never wound up doing anything, and the center was built, but Webb continued to cash a $35,000 check each month.
