The publication Times Higher Education informs us that Tech produces more graduates that become million- aires than all but 79 schools on planet Earth. Just ahead of Tech was the University of Cape Town in South Africa, and just behind was Russia’s Moscow State University. But just go to Tech—it’s cheaper, and they drink their whiskey clear. RISING
Atlanta Beltline light rail back on the menu?
Many Atlantans were dismayed when Mayor Andre Dickens seemingly tabled the idea of light rail along the Atlanta Beltline, the city’s wildly popular and successful pedestrian path. After all, light rail was a core part of the loop’s original vision, meant to connect the city all around its (eventual) 22-mile loop. But now the Atlanta City Council is pushing back, with 11 councilmembers, led by Atlanta City Councilwoman Kelsea Bond signing onto a resolution signaling support for the idea.
