ATLANTA — Three Oconee County election precincts will revert to the district represented by Rep. Chuck Williams under legislation introduced Wednesday.

State Republicans controlling the House of Representatives had moved the precincts in 2011 into a district represented by then-Rep. Doug McKillip who had recently switched from the Democratic to the Republican Party. The move was widely seen as an attempt to shore up McKillip’s re-election chances with some Oconee GOP voters.
