ATLANTA — Democrats Michelle Nunn and Steen Miles formally entered the race for U.S. Senate Thursday, and Republican John Barge qualified to challenge Gov. Nathan Deal in the GOP primary.

Nunn, who has a significant fund-raising lead, becomes the fourth candidate to join her party’s primary for Senate. She and one-time legislator

Steen Miles joined Branko Radulovacki and Todd Robinson for a four-way contest while the Republicans have seven signed up counting Derrick Grayson who qualified Wednesday.

“I’ve spent the last 25 years working with people from all walks of life who wanted to improve their communities. I have always believed that change starts with individuals. I have learned that we can’t wait for someone else,” said Nunn.
