ATLANTA — The legislative session that ended at midnight Thursday featured highly reported battles over guns, medical marijuana, autism coverage, Obamacare and the Common Core education standards, but so many other issues were quietly considered which may have a bigger impact on Georgians.
Generally, Gov. Nathan Deal signs into law what ultimately passes in the General Assembly, preferring to tell lawmakers up front not to bother passing measure he would veto. So, it’s likely that all the major bills passed will become law. It’s also likely that many of those that failed to pass were due to his input.
