Tech-nically Speaking
Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed has expressed a vision — shared by others — to leverage the academic prowess of Georgia Tech to lure more high-tech companies to the Atlanta area, and to keep more Tech graduates here. Whether Reed has anything to do with this we don’t know, but the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported Wednesday that technology giant NCR, headquartered in Gwinnett County, may be considering the construction of a corporate campus near Tech. And sure enough, the believed reason is the availability of nearby technically proficient Tech grads. Regardless of whoever is to thank for the believed consideration of a new site by NCR, this news gets a RISING boat for metro Atlanta’s future.
