Good News for Charter Schools

The U.S. House passed H.R. 10 on Friday, which is a bill that “promotes high-quality charter schools at the state and local levels and allows states to use federal funds to start new charter schools as well as expand and replicate existing high-quality charter schools. ”   The bill enjoyed bipartisan support in the House, passing 360-45.  7th District Congressman Rob Woodall spoke on the House floor in support of the bill, and praised two charter schools in his district, (The Gwinnett School of Math and Sciences and The Maxwell School of Technology) for the work they’ve done in the past several years.  Congress getting behind the charter school movement surely bodes well for their expansion in Georgia and shows that the ship for school choice is undeniably RISING…
