Atlanta seems to have been caught in something of a crime wave in recent months, and Mayor Kasim Reed is taking steps to confront the problem.  At a town hall meeting Tuesday night, Reed heard questions and stories from midtown residents concerned over the uptick in robberies and carjackings the area has seen over the summer.  The Mayor promised to get more police out on neighborhood streets as well as to put pressure on local courts to prosecute repeat offenders and make sure they see lengthy jail time.  Crime is never a good thing, but Reed meeting with the public and pledging to fight it sees his ship RISING…
