The Marietta Daily Journal “Family” suffered two losses this past week. The stunningly swift and tragic loss of our friend Joe Kirby followed just one day after the loss of the wife of the paper’s late- publisher Otis A. Brumby, Jr. Martha Lee Brumby passed away on Thursday after a valiant battle against Alzheimer’s.
Martha Lee was known as the essence of charm and grace. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She gave countless amounts of her time and energy to numerous charities as well as her church. Known for her sweet spirit and bright mind, she was a beloved member of the Marietta community and respected by all who knew her throughout Georgia.
Our thoughts and prayers are with her family. She will be greatly missed.
