According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services over 100,000 child refugees have entered the United States since 2013, with nearly 4,000 of those coming to Georgia without any parents. Metro Atlanta school districts, many of which already face budget deficits and other, more scandalous issues, (*cough* DeKalb County) have been forced to take on these new students, many of whom come from violent backgrounds and speak little to no English. Atlanta’s newest pro sports team
Rumors continue to swirl around Atlanta potentially getting a new professional hockey team in the near future, but the cities newest franchise plays on the hardwood in Gwinnett County. The Atlanta Vibe are one of seven teams in the inaugural season of the Pro Volleyball Federation, which includes teams from Columbus, Ohio, Grand Rapids, Michigan, Omaha, Orlando, San Diego and Las Vegas.
