Day two in Cleveland brought some fireworks, a delegation walkout and fiery speeches.

The convention kicked into high gear very quickly yesterday as they gaveled into session with a vote on the rules and platform that brought an immediate outcry from the “never Trump” movement. This group thought they had the votes to remove Trump as the Republican nominee but an aye vs. nay vote was clearly in favor of moving forward with Trump as the nominee. The Colorado delegation walked out of the convention in protest but returned for the evening session. I guess they weren’t willing to “die on that sword” after all. Everyone knew they’d be back and quietly chuckled when they were all in their seats for the second session.
