The Democratic National Convention will have a Georgia flair this year. The convention, which begins tonight in Philadelphia, will feature a number of the state’s most powerful Democrats.

Georgia House Minority Leader Stacey Abrams will address the convention Monday night during the opening session — prior to speeches by First Lady Michelle Obama and U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders. Also, on Wednesday, Rep. Abrams is scheduled to participate in an EMILY’s List panel alongside U.S. House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi.
