AT&T has been busy since announcing it plans to buy Time Warner for $85 billion trying to convince workers and the public that no major changes are in store for the companies under the Time Warner umbrella.

AT&T promises that CNN will retain its journalistic independence. It has called the deal an opportunity to grow revenue, not cut costs.

As for the people at the top, AT&T executives had praise during a weekend conference call to discuss the merger.

Chairman Randall Stephenson praised the employees at Time Warner.
